Mysql Django Connection

Install the connector

$ pip3 install mysqlclient

Configuration

DATABASES = {
    'default': {
        'ENGINE': 'django.db.backends.mysql',
        'NAME': 'myproject',
        'USER': 'myprojectuser',
        'PASSWORD': 'password',
        'HOST': 'localhost',
        'PORT': '',
    }
}
You would enable the server environment variables when you deploy the project.
